School's Out For Summer {Almost!}

It feels like forever since I've last blogged {I think I said that last time I blogged!}! The end of the year is always such a hectic, crazy time and this year is no exception. I've been busy getting ready for our awards day and can now say it was a success. The kids and families loved it!

We started by decorating our tables {a little bulletin board paper the kids decorated} and then I put out their end of the year gifts {buckets of books} and their summer packs and memory books. We had super simple snacks and lemon water that my kids thought was so fancy for some reason! It's the little things! :)

Their summer packs included Hadar's Ready Made for First Grade, Lyndsey's Website Handout {Free!!} and a list of our first grade sight words.

Then came the awards. I used Reagan's candy awards again this year and the kids and families loved them! They are so much fun and make for big smiles!

I also used Gladys' awards this year and we loved them too. They are black and white, so it was perfect for prinitng on the bright paper I got {especially since ink is low at the end of the year!}.
All in all, it was a super fun day! Many tears were shed {especially during our video} and I am definitely going to miss my sweeties!
Now on to cleaning the room and getting organized for next year! It seems like every year I tell myself I'm not going to let things pile up and somehow they do! Hope your end of the year is/was great!!

  2. We are using the same candy awards . They are too cute. We were able to talk our vice principal into sending them to the print shop so they are in all that adorable color! How many awards do your kids get? Also, do you give the candy out with the award? Do they mess with it during the ceremony?

    Thanks for the help!
