More Reading Fun

We have had so much fun this week reading all of Dr. Seuss' books and today our school celebrated Read Across America with a character parade. The kids could dress as any character from a book and we had some really cute costumes! Here's one of my little sweeties dressed as Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
My friend Deeanna that I talk about so much and our friend Bunnee dressed up as the 3 Little Pigs. The kids loved it {and it's pretty fitting for me right now, but we won't talk about baby weight :) }. It was freezing, but the kids had a blast getting to see all of the other kids in our school dressed up.
We were also super lucky to have Thing 1 and Thing 2 come read to our class. Every year, our school has guest readers and we all hope that the Things come to our room...we got lucky this year!

{Thank you Mrs. Nolen and Mrs. Miller!}

For our story today, we read Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You and had so much fun picking out all the onomatopoeia words in the story. Then, we wrote our own sentence using onomatopoeia.

It was definitely a fun day, but I am glad it's Friday! It is supposed to be really cold here this weeked {something we don't get much of}, so I plan on staying in and snuggling the little one. Hope you all have a restful weekend!
