More Snowman Fun {And A Freebie}

Yay for Friday!! This first week back has been fun, but the kids and I both are ready for the weekend {I think we all got used to our holiday schedule!}. We had more fun today finishing our snowman unit and even got to play in the "snow!"

We read Snowballs and talked about words that described each snowman in the book, then made a group chart with words that can describe snowmen.
 Then we made these cute snowmen with torn paper and wrote a sentence that described snowmen.
{This idea came from The Elementary Art Room...thank goodness for Pinterest!}

During math, we had a snowball fight to practice decomposing ten. The "teams" threw our paper snowballs until I said freeze then we counted how many snowballs one team ended up with and used our ten frame to figure out how many the other team had. This activity is in Deeanna's pack here. The kids had a blast!

 To make our day even more fun, Mrs. Nolen got the snow machine out for us! What a treat in our 80 degree weather today!

That's all for now...I am a teensy bit tired from my full week at work and I am going to snuggle with my girlie some before we have to get shots Monday :(. Have a great weekend!
