Don't judge, but I don't actually have a classroom theme. I have seen so many cute ones out there, but I just can't bring myself to commit to one theme for the whole year and I also can't afford a total classroom make-over. Instead, I have a bright color explosion everywhere! To welcome my sweeties, I'm making a welcome banner. Now, I haven't actually made it yet, because I'm waiting on laminating film. However, I thought I would go ahead and share. There are 2 versions...you can make it say "Welcome to ___" or "We Love {but with a heart} ____." The first letters are for welcome to, then we love, then kindergarten, 1st, etc. Make sense? I plan on cutting the pennants out, laminating them, and hot gluing them to ribbon. I've included pre-k, kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd. I would love to hear if you're able to use these.
For some reason, google docs isn't giving a preview, but the pennants look like the ones above, but in different colors with letters on the circles that spell out each saying.
Also, I have gotten numerous requests lately to share freebies from google docs. In case you have not been able to get them, they are already public and shared! Make sure you are going to the left hand corner of the document and clicking "file" then "download." You do not need to click share. This should work for you :)
Check back tomorrow for another great Learning Resources giveaway!
Thanks Vickie...These are perfect!

DeleteThe google document does not come up for me:( Help. I just ge the google doc home page when I click on the link.
DeleteThis banner looks like it will be super cute in a classroom! I printed out your polka dotted numbers and added them to my classroom setup. They look fantastic- thank you!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you were able to use them!
DeleteLOVE the banner! You rock! Thank you so much for sharing that with us. I NEVER have a theme. Kind of the same reasons as you - can't afford it, wouldn't want to live with it all year. I just make sure that all of my walls are the same color with the same colored solid border (from "The Sisters") Also, once we begin making cool projects the theme stuff would all get covered up.
ReplyDeleteThanks again,
~Andi
Thanks again for sharing this with us! My theme is kindergarten! LOL I don't have the money to change my stuff every year, either! Can't wait to hang this up and the number posters for before! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the no theme. I love the flexibility!
ReplyDeleteI would love to use this... I'm teaching 3rd this year. Do you have any plans to add other graders?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
