Sorry it's taken me so long to pick a winner of my new Apples Aplenty unit...congrats Candace {I let my husband pick the number this time :) }.
I will be sending you the apple pack soon :).
I've been working like crazy trying to get my room ready, and I'm sorry to say I really don't have any pictures to share, because it has been slow going! I am in a tiny portable and I'm having a hard time deciding where I want to place everything and new "issues" keep coming up like leaks and mold {I know you're jealous!}. It also has paneling from way back in the day, so I'm debating what color paper to cover it in, which is difficult. I'm leaning toward black with colored border, but we'll see. In addition, I have a bad habit of chatting too much with all the other staff and teachers who are at school working, so that takes up time also! I do have a picture of my granny finishing up the bookshelf we put together:
As you can see, she does not like having her picture taken and told me not to show her face! I had to give her a shout out though, because y'all, she is super woman! She is 73 and does not look or act like it at all! She is there for all 4 of us grandkids and 1 great grand whenever we need her! She has been helping me a ton already and is currently making me new chair pouches {she also made my old ones, but decided after 8 years, she needed to make new ones!}. She also always comes on the first day of school, which is invaluable, as all you kindergarten teachers know!
Teachers "officially" report back Friday, so I hope to have a lot done by then and hopefully will be back with pictures. I hope all of you are getting some help in your classrooms also! :)

Your grandmother sounds like such a wonderful woman!! Good luck with everything & have a great school year! :)

Learning Is Something to Treasure
Oh, how I love the photos of your granny helping you! What an awesome lady! Grandparents are so special. My grandpa is 90 and he is and always was my hero. He still helps me with things and is probably the most interested in my classroom stories and TpT adventures out of everyone. Bless grandparents' hearts!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is so cute! I am your newest follower! :)
I'm so glad someone else has such a special relationship with a grandparent...I can't imagine what I'll do without her! Thanks for stopping by!
