I can't believe Christmas break is officially over! It seemed to go by so quickly. However, I am excited about getting back in my classroom and using some of the new winter centers and activities I've been working on as well as the AWESOME ones I've found online on pinterest and blogs. We had teacher workday today and our kids come back tomorrow. We are going to get busy quickly to try to get back into our routine and we'll start by doing our snow/snowmen unit. Although it doesn't snow here much, we still have fun learning about it!
To get started, one of our centers will be Snowman Sounds...hopefully google docs is going to cooperate and let me link to it so that you can use this in your classroom this month. You can choose to use the basic beginning sounds or the blends/digraphs (or if you're like me, you'll use both with your different groups). I got this idea from Can Do Kinders back in the fall when she did it with pumpkins. If you have never checked this blog out, you are missing out! I've gotten some of the best ideas and activities there and my kids always love them.
Thanks again for reading and let me know if you're able to use this freebie (or if it doesn't link correctly)! Hope you've had/will have a great first day back!
